The LP aka the Long Playing Micro Groove has long been the mainstay of DJ’s, collectors, the general interest music listener along with the musicologist and scholar. Even though records have been around for over a century it was the transition over to the micro grooved stylus that played at 33 1⁄3 RPM that truly changed the game. Not only did this change over to a finer groove on the vinyl allow for more music to be played on one side of the record it also enhanced the quality of the sound drastically as anyone who has listened to 78’s can attest to. As long time Dj’s and collectors we also love the fact that LP’s are analog and will always sound better than CD’s and digital formats to our ears.
