FELA LIVES! Collection
Fela Aníkúlápó Kuti (born Olufela Olusegun Oludotun Ransome-Kuti) Born 15 October 1938, Passed 2 August 1997, also known as “Abami Eda”, was a Lagos born, Nigerian musician, bandleader, composer, political activist, and Pan-Africanist. He is regarded as the pioneer of Afro-Beat, a Nigerian music genre that combines West African music with American funk and jazz. At the height of his popularity, he was referred to as one of Africa's most "challenging and charismatic music performers".
To acknowledge the historical work he left us, we’ve created a humble collection of jerseys and fleece. Fela not only left us his musical work, he also created a legacy for his Nigerian people to continue his steps as a righteous teacher, soldier and son of Nigeria. The MOP is also known as The Movement Of the People, his political party. Fela Lives!
